Wow! It is hard to believe that summer is almost over! Now
it is back to school for the kids (YEAH!!!!!) and back to a
normal routine! If you are looking for that perfect Texas
vacation spot check out one of the featured articles. It
gives an exciting overview of some of the best places to
getaway in Texas. The best part is you can make these trips
on weekends!
In this issue you will find an overview of the already
beautiful Shang La Rai Botanical Gardens that is being
refurbished in Orange. I am born and raised Orange County
girl and I have to tell you this project has me really
excited for our community! I pass by there each day and see
the many workers and volunteers working to get this project
completed. Although the grand re-opening date has been
pushed back to March, I promise you it is worth the wait! I
know you will enjoy this piece and I hope you will all visit
the site once it opens. It is truly a wonderful attraction
for all of Southeast Texas!

On a
personal note I am an Aunt again! My little brother and his
wife (David & Alicia Gray) have had their first child, a
beautiful son which they named Barron Jace Gray. It was one
of the happiest days of my life to see my baby brother
become a Dad. I know they will both be wonderful parents!
Naturally, Barron already has a favorite Aunt…yes that would
be Aunt Nancy! The other Aunts don’t stand a chance, sorry
ladies! My daughter Brittney fights me to get to the house
first so she can get her hands on him before me. I think
she is learning good old Mom isn’t as slow as she thought!
Man that must be a site for the neighbors! I have included
pictures of the new addition and Mom & Dad! I know the
nights can be long but being a parent makes it all worth it!
I hope you
enjoy this edition of Southeast Texas Living. If you are
looking for an apartment in Southeast Texas please give us a
call and we will help you find something that suits your
needs! Be on the lookout for our next issue they are flying
off the stands!
